BIOLOGIST REPORT
Nessmuk Lake
Nessmuk Lake is a 24.3 hectare (60 acre) Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) impoundment near Wellsboro in Tioga County, Pennsylvania. The impoundment is owned and managed by the PFBC, but maintained by the Borough of Wellsboro. The lake is managed for warmwater species and Commonwealth Inland Water regulations apply.
Nessmuk Lake was sampled June 4 – 6, 2001 with 8 trapnet sets located along the shoreline and night electrofished the entire shoreline on the evening of June 5. The results of the survey are presented below.

Also captured in the trapnets were 85 golden shiners, 4 chain pickerel, 2 brown bullheads, and 1 largemouth bass.
